About the Project
EEABS were appointed late to the project in order to investigate the most cost effective ways in which the Colchester Hospital Extension could have been made to show compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.
Previous Energy Consultants on the project had led the design team down an incorrect path and this was resulting in an expensive method in complying.
By speaking with the Building Control Body directly we was able to illustrate that the extension should be treated as a small extension in relation to the existing Hospital and therefore the guidance within Part L2B only needed to be followed.
With submission of our Part L2B report the Hospital was finally able to gain sign off from Building Control for the project.
