At Elmstead Energy Assessments and Building Services we can produce Low and Zero Carbon technology reports to assess the feasibility of LZC technologies such as Solar Panels or Biomass Boilers to your building.
Under Part L Regulation 25A it is a legal requirement for any new building to assess its potential to install Low or Zero Carbon technologies such as Solar PV, Wind Turbines or Heat Pumps.
Many new builds are also now required by Local Authorities to submit a LZC Feasibility Report as part of an Energy Statement when applying for planning permission.
What Should a LZC Technology Report Contain
- An initial review of the full range of renewable energy options for the proposed building.
- Selection of the most suitable technologies for the building to assess in greater detail. A financial analysis of each the suitable technologies to ensure they are economically viable. The carbon emission reduction the technology will have on the building, should also be considered.
- Taking into the account the financial and carbon emission results of the building, final recommendations as to the low and zero carbon technologies most suitable for the building.
- The results presented in an easy to read report that can be submitted to Building Control or the Local Planning Authority.
