About the Project
Our role was to investigate and analyse the various Low and Zero Carbon Technologies feasible for the proposed new dwelling.
In total we examined the impact that 10 different LZC technologies could have on the project, these included MVHR ventilation, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps, Log Burners and Biomass. We also looked into PV and Solar Hot Water Panels, Rain Water Collection, CHP, and Battery Storage.
Moodelling the Building within our SAP assessment software allowed us to determine the energy and carbon emissions saved by each technology, we also determined the estimated capital costs for each project and produced simple payback calculations to determine the most cost efficient technology.
