About the Project
Our role was to carry out a Daylight, Sunlight and Overshadowing Assessment on the neighbouring property to ensure that our client’s proposed extension would not negatively affect their levels of Daylight or Sunlight received.
We produced an existing and proposed 3D model of the site using EDSL TAS software and carried out Vertical Sky Component (VSC), No Sky Line, Average Daylight Factor, and Annual Probable Sunlight Hour calculations.
Our report showed that the proposed extension would have a negligible affect on the neighbouring property and therefore the extension should hopefully be granted planning permission.
