About the Project
We were appointed to undertake a Daylight, Sunlight, and Overshadowing Assessment for the surrounding properties on Parkview Road, London to determine if the proposed development would have an adverse affect their levels of natural daylight or sunlight.
By using Dynamic Simulation Building Modelling software to produce computer models of both the existing and proposed schemes were quickly able to run a number of daylight and sunlight calculations such as Vertical Sky Component, Annual Probable Sunlight Hours, and Garden Overshadowing.
We were able to show that only minor side windows would be affected by the proposed scheme, main front and rear facing windows, along with garden amenity areas would be unaffected, and therefore the planners would hopefully consider this acceptable.
